Leica M5 rangefinder camera in perfect condition.
The camera has just been completely renovated by a professional. We can note:
- The rangefinder is perfectly clear, it has just been adjusted. The viewfinder is clear, and the frames corresponding to the focal lengths display perfectly.
- The entire light metering system has been revised and works perfectly. The circuit has been modified to provide correct exposure with a 1.5 volt battery (original 1.3V batteries are now unobtainable).
- The shutter has been serviced, adjusted, and all speeds are accurate. The curtains are in good condition.
- The self-timer has also been serviced and works.
In short, everything works as if the camera were new.
This Leica M5 rangefinder is in perfect condition. I was just entirely stripped, cleaned, oiled and put back together and adjusted by a professional.
- The rangefinder is clear, accurate (it was adjusted). The viewfinder is perfectly clean, and the various frame for different focales nice and bright!
- The whole light meusuring unit was overhauled. the cell give a perfect exposure. The circuitry was modified to give a correct exposure with a 1.5 volt battery, the original 1.3 ones being discontinued.
- The shutter was serviced, all the speeds are correct, and the curtains in perfect condition.
- The timer was serviced and works perfectly.
In short, this camera is just out of CLA and is working perfectly.
